North Cyprus Events Calendar from 6th June 2019

A list of events you can look forward to in North Cyprus. For those charity fund-raisers, venues etc. who would like to include an event in the Weekly Events Calendar, contact Chris or Margaret at cyprusscene.com.

The Events Calendar is published every week on Thursday so please try to submit information you would like to be included by Tuesday evening each week.

The North Cyprus Forum events calendar is now incorporated on the cyprusscene website where you can register as a member and post your own events.

6^th June –Thursday	Kyrenia Chamber Choir present Summer Serenade at Antiphonitis Church, Esentepe starting at 5.30pm (limited spaces available). Suggested donation 100TL, includes a shuttle bus from Esentepe football ground (leaving 4:45pm and 5:15pm) champagne & canapés. Directed by Iris Langford and with accompanist Rauf Kasimov.

8^th June – Saturday	The Soulist Coffee and Music House, Alsancak presents Alper Cengiz & Friends (Rock) starting at 10pm. Entrance 35TL.
9^th June – Sunday	Hope4Pets will be holding a Live Auction at Tim’s Cafe/Bar, Ozankoy. Viewing 12-2pm, auction starts at 3pm and will be followed by a raffle.
9^th June – Sunday	Island Studio Art Classes at The Food Lodge, Catalkoy 9.30am to 11.30am. Beach Scene with acrylics. 150TL, materials will be provided. Reservations must be made 0548 857 3244 (maximum 8 per class).
12^th June – Wednesday	Friends of the TRNC Emergency Services (112) will be having their Afternoon Tea Talk at the Black Olive Cafe, Alsancak at 3pm. 25TL includes tea/coffee, sandwiches and cakes. The speaker will be Brian Joyce with a light-hearted talk entitled ‘Photography – Art or Science?’ To book call 0533 840 7834.
12^th June – Wednesday	The Soulist Coffee and Music House, Alsancak presents Arda Baykurt Jazz Project (Jazz) starting at 10pm. Entrance 25TL.
13^th June – Thursday	KAR Fashion Show at Bar Tropicana, Ozankoy, starting at 11am. Tickets 35TL include soft drink and cake, available from KAR shop, Tropicana or call 0533 874 9622.

15^th June – Saturday	Black Olive Cafe, Alsancak will be holding its 8^th Glastonvicki Music Festival from 1.30pm. A day of music, love, fun and laughter. 19^th June – Wednesday	Supper Club event at the Colony Garden will be Sing Baby Sing…the World’s no1 tribute to the Stylistics, featuring founder members of the group Heatwave…a hugely experienced group. The event will be in aid of Help Those with Cancer Association (Tulips). Tickets will be available for collection from Tuesday 21^st May.
19^th June – Wednesday	The Soulist Coffee and Music House, Alsancak presents Jea Jazz Trio (from Spain) starting at 10pm. Entrance 25TL.
20^th June – Thursday	Classic film event at The Food Lodge in Catalkoy in association with the DVD Shop, Catalkoy. Starting at 5pm you can enjoy Murder Ahoy (1964). 20TL for the film, a soft drink and popcorn. Reservations must be made – call 0533 839 8764
20^th June – Thursday	The Black Olive Cafe will be holding Royal Ascot Ladies Day at 12.30pm. There will be a hat competition and a lovely menu and lots of fizz! More information to follow.

24^th June – Monday	Friends of the TRNC Emergency Services (112) monthly quiz night at the Black Olive Cafe, Alsancak at 7.30pm. Richard with his quirky questions, plus an excellent supper of herby chicken with wedges and salad, vegetarian quiche with wedges and salad or double egg and chips for only 35TL per person. 14^th September – Saturday	Queen tribute with Killer Queen at the Girne Amphitheatre which will be in aid of Help Those with Cancer Association (Tulips). Tickets £25 per person. When tickets are available we will let you know.
27th/28^th September Friday/Saturday	The Soulist Coffee and Music House, Alsancak are preparing a Friends Across Borders event with bands from south and north Cyprus and possibly Germany. This will be a great live music event. More information to follow.
