Ministry of Transportation’s Traffic Department is setting up two “Traffic Lights Violation Detection Cameras” at the crossroads near Atatürk Spor Salonu (indoor sports hall) on Dr. Fazıl Küçük Bulvarı in Lefkoşa, as a pilot project to improve traffic safety.
The cameras will be able to detect traffic lights, speeding and lane violations and photograph the vehicle. Drivers using the crossroads are kindly urged to follow the traffic light rules and the maximum speed limit which is 50km/h.
The cameras are planned to be activated soon and the Ministry of Transportation will make a public announcement prior to their activation.
