On Wednesday March 27, the second leg of the Kıbrıs Cup quarter finals were played and the results were :
Binatlı 0 Yonpaş Dumlupınar 4 (Dumlupınar win 6-0 on aggregate)
Doğan Türk Birlıği 4 Gençlik Gücü 0 (DTB wın 5-0 on aggregate)
Mağusa Türk Gücü 10 Ozanköy 0 (MTG win 14-1 on aggregate)
Yenicamı 3 Baf Ülkü Yurdu 1 (Yenicamı win 3-1 on aggregate)
The shock of the quarter finals was League 1 side Yonpaş Dumlupınar who are in mid table in their League pulling off a 4-0 away win against struggling Super League outfit Binatlı to win 6-0 on aggregate.
The other League 1 side in the quarter finals were Ozanköy, who faced a huge task after losing the first leg at home 4-1, they went to Famagusta and got absolutely slaughtered losing 10-0. Sadık Balarabe with 4 goals and Halıl Turan with 3 being among their scorers.
So joining Dumlupınar in the semi-finals I suppose predictably are the Super League’s top 3 in the table Yenicamı, Mağusa Türk Birliği and Doğan Türk Birliği. The draw for the semi-finals will be held on April 1st.
