Girne Municipality are now collecting Property Tax payments for 2019 in accordance with the Immovable Property – Law on Property Tax 50/1995, 15/2006, 39/2006, 42/2007, 18/2008.
The first instalment payment period of the Property Tax, which is paid in two instalments per year, needs to be paid by 30th April 2019. The second instalment of the Property Tax must be paid by 30 September 2019.
Payments can be made to the main building cashiers of Kyrenia Municipality, the terminal branch of Girne Municipality, Zeytinlik, Doğanköy, Ozanköy and Beylerbeyi Mukhtars, or to the Banks contracted by Girne Municipality (Akfinans Bank, Asbank, Creditwest Bank, Garanti Bank, Halk Bank, Albank, Iktisat Bank, Isbank, Cooperative Central Bank, Universal Bank, Vakiflar Bank, Limasol Cooperative Bank, Capital Bank, Nova Bank, Turkish Bank, Near East Bank and Ziraat Bank).
Property notification will not be sent by mail
Due to the fact that Property Tax notifications will not be sent to addresses by mail, the property owners can receive property tax notifications from the Property Department (815 04 54) at the Kyrenia Municipality Terminal Branch. In addition to the ones who will register, they will need to take with them the title deeds, sale contract or the previous payment receipt.
