Famous Turkish writer Ayşe Kulin recently visited  Eastern Mediterranean University, where she not only met the university officials, but also met the students.

The Directorate of Social and Cultural Activities of the university arranged a session with the famous writer, who carried out a session in which she provided details about her career and books. A large number of students attended the talk. At the end of the talk a short question and answer session was carried out. She provided information about her new published books.

Ayşe Kulin, born in 1941 in Istanbul, is well known as a short story writer, screen writer and novelist. A large number of her novels and stories have been translated into English. “Last train to Istanbul”, “Aylın” and “Face to Face”, are some of her well known translated novels.

Prior to the talk,  Ayşe Kulin paid a  courtesy visit to the Rector of the University.  She stated her love towards Cyprus and her pleasure in visiting the Eastern Mediterranean University. At the end of the visit, Ayşe Kulin presented one of her books to Prof. Dr. Osam as a gift and Prof. Dr .Osam presented her with a framed traditional Cypriot Lefkara Lace as a memoir.
