Töre said : in a way Theresa May confessed that she did not understand the genocide faced by the Turkish Cypriots by saying that there would be no need for guarantees in a solution which will be reached.

Stating that these approaches of the UK and Greece are not binding both Turkish Cypriots and Turkey, Töre said: “The guarantee of Turkey is a taboo for us. We do not trust the guarantee of the UK and Greece. The reason for our lack of trust is due to the historical sufferings we experienced.”

CTP MP Candan points to sport restrictions in PACE

The Republican Turkish Party (CTP) MP Armağan Candan drew attention to the unfair restrictions applied to the Turkish Cypriots in sports at the meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) in Paris.
