Not a week or a day goes by when the subject of animal welfare in Northern Cyprus is not mentioned in social media and one of our readers shared the following Facebook message from Ralf Purcell with the request that we share it as under.

“We are organising a meeting in Lefkosia on 15 March 19:00 to discuss the TRNC Animal welfare laws and forming an Animal Carers Association to get the laws implemented, enforced and policed in all areas.
We are inviting all animal lovers, carers, volunteers and shelter/pound workers to come and join us –
Together we are stronger – WE are the animals voices .”
This event will be held on Friday 15th March at 19.00pm at the Major Music Centre, Lefkosa.
