A delegation from the Girne Municipality represented the TRNC in Turkey at the 1st Kuşadasi Olive Festival held on 3rd and 4th November.
A delegation consisting of members of the Girne Municipality Council and its employees 
participated in the Kuşadası Olive Festival, which was organized for the first time by the Kuşadası Municipality with the slogan “Abundance, Health, Peace”. Representing our country as the only Municipality invited to the festival from abroad, the Girne Municipality officials attended the opening ceremony and visited Oleatrium, the largest olive and olive oil history museum in Europe.
The delegation visited Kuşadası Mayor Özer Kayalı at his office and thanked him for the opportunity to attend the festival and to become familiar with Kuşadası. The delegation also presented the Mayor and the Municipal Authorities with Girne Olive Festival booklets and souvenirs introducing our country.
Kuşadası Mayor Özer Kayalı said in his speech that a delegation from Kuşadası had attended the Olive Festival which has been held by Girne Municipality for 17 years and they liked the festival very much. Özer Kayalı stated that he was very impressed by the International Olive Cartoon Competition within the scope of the festival. He expressed his pleasure to host the guests from Girne at the festival and stated that they would continue to cooperate between the two Municipalities.
