TRNC tourism promoted in London
The Ministry of Tourism and Environment is representing the TRNC at the World Travel Market 2018 Tourism Fair being held in London between 5-7 November 2018.
The World Travel Market (WTM), which is known as the second most important tourism fair in the world, welcomed the leading representatives of the world tourism industry at the Excel Exhibition Centre.
At the World Travel Market Tourism Fair, the TRNC exhibited the concept of a “Turkish Cypriot village house”, which has been used for the past two years and has become very popular, and a section of Othello Castle in Famagusta, which is based on the tragedy of Othello written by world-famous English poet, playwright and actor William Shakespeare.
In addition, country-specific soil handicrafts, the works of wicker art such as sele, basket, sesta and chair making were produced and exhibited at the stand.
CTMU in Strasbourg
President of Cyprus Turkish Municipalities Union (CTMU) and Mayor of Güzelyurt Mahmut Özçınar travelled to Strasbourg.
The delegation representing CTMU will attend the 35th Session of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities and committee meetings between 6-8, November.
The delegation will return to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus on the evening of 8th November.
