The Foreign Residents in the TRNC will be having their annual Oktoberfest at the Açmenya Restaurant in Alsancak on Sunday 7th October and this year, as well as members, it will be open to anyone who would like to attend.
The event will start at 6.30pm and there will be an authentic professional Bavarian Oktoberfest musician who is being brought over from Germany to entertain the guests.
To accompany this there will be an authentic Bavarian supper of 1/2 chicken, Bavarian potato salad (recipe courtesy of Horst), a selection of salads and bread. For those who would like a vegetarian option please contact the Events Manager, as shown below. Of course no Oktoberfest is complete without the correct beer. This will be available on draught from the Oktoberfest Beer Stall and of course the usual beers, wines and spirits will be on sale as well. The cost of this event is 100TL for members and 110TL for non-members. (this has been calculated to include the musicians travel/performance, food and decorations).
A bus can be laid on travelling from the East side of Girne…. starting at Supreme Supermarket, Çatalköy. This will be available if enough people want to take up this offer, price can be given on enquiry.
A bus from Karşıyaka Square, can also be made available, again depending on numbers of people to make this a viable option.
