I Run, I Walk from Lefkosa to Tim’s Cafe and Bar, Ozanköy for No Straws North Cyprus

This event has been postponed due to current bad weather conditions and perhaps dangerous conditions for Ahmet Abdulaziz to Run/Walk across the mountain from Lefkosa to Ozanköy on Saturday 13th October… A new date will be confirmed when arrangements have been made

For some time now our friend and co-writer on CyprusScene, Ahmet Abdulaziz has been saying he would like to Run/Walk with CyprusScene.com to support a cleanup of   North Cyprus. As CyprusScene has been supporting and helping to promote the No Straws North Cyprus campaign, Ahmet decided that he would also like to dedicate his Lefkosa to Girne “I Run, I Walk” to this cause.

We are delighted to tell our readers that on Saturday 13th October we will be meeting Ahmet at the Gönyeli roundabout in Lefkosa to record on video the start of his Run/Walk to Ozanköy and hope to meet him part way through his journey for a progress update and then will be waiting for him to arrive at Tim’s Cafe and Bar in Ozanköy between 4.00 to 4.30pm.

We are very grateful to The Food Lodge Çatalköy who have printed and donated a T-shirt for Ahmet to wear on his Run/walk event and we hope Tims’s Cafe and Bar will greet Ahmet with refreshments to revive him after his long journey.

Both The Food Lodge and Tim’s Cafe and Bar are supporting the No Straws North Cyprus campaign and on the 13th October Tim’s Cafe and Bar and other business nearby are holding a street party and will give a warm welcome to Ahmet Abdulaziz on his arrival.
