TRNC Motor Vehicle Registration, Inspection and Licensing now at new Lefkosa building

The Motor Vehicle Registration, Inspection and Licensing Branch yesterday, 28th August, resumed its operations at the reservations section of the former Cyprus Turkish Airlines (CTA) building, on Bedrettin Demirel Avenue in Lefkoşa.
Renovation works at the building for the installation of the electronic devices and preparation of offices for administrative staff had been completed during the Bayram holiday. The building contains two entrances with ramps for wheelchair users. The Motor Vehicle Registration, Inspection and Licensing Branch will continue serving at the building until the construction of the new building of the Traffic Department in Metehan is completed.
In the meantime, the Ministry is working with the aim to activate an online payment system for road tax by the end of this year.
In addition to this, vehicle owners will be able to receive information with regard to vehicle registration, inspection and licensing by dialling the “VEHICLE REGISTRATION HELPLINE” on “1300”. The service is aimed to begin operation in early September.
