According to a press release by the University, the  world famous mathematics prodigy Arran Fernandez has been added to their list of lecturers for the 2018-2019 Academic Year. Fernandez will be delivering courses at the university as a guest assistant professor. He will also be carrying out work on a “Fractural Digit Analysis” project with EMU Arts and Sciences Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ali Özarslan.

Who is Arran Fernandez?

Fernandez was born in England in 1995. In 2001 at the tender age of five, he earned the highest grade in a mathematics exam. At seven years old, he got an A+ in GCSE Mathematics. He gained acceptance to Cambridge University at the age of 15, becoming the youngest person to study at the university since 1773. He is continuing his doctorate level education at Cambridge University’s Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics where Isaac Newton once studied, and Stephen Hawking taught. Fernandez who is concentrating his research on fractural digit analysis and the analytic number theory, is trying to find a solution to the Riemann hypothesis that mathematicians have been working on for 150 years.
