We received the following excellent news together with photographs in the slideshow below from Stephen Collard of CESV/112 which we would like to share with our readers.
On Tuesday the 14th of August the general manager Hakan Demirceken of the Kaya Palazzo hotel invited more than 130 people to join him at the beach bar for a BBQ and drinks.
This event was one of the first to be held at any hotel on the island and donations for this event were given to the Civil Emergency Services Volunteers (Acil Servisin Sivil Gonulluleri Dernegi 112)
This event was made possible with the help of Delia
and Laurence Floyd from Blakes Lounge Bar and Bistro.
The night started on the terrace with a welcome cocktail and then all of the guests were taken to the fantastic beach bar.
Drinks including beer and wine were served and the BBQ was second to none. The food included a vast salad selection various meat and fish dishes and a vegetarian option.
The Kaya Palazzo has several other restaurants which offer a lunchtime buffet from 150 tl.
There is a day pass available for the pool and beach areas at a reasonable price.
CESV would like to thank everyone for their support on this night and a total of 13,610TL was raised.
This will allow this organisation to help supply more medical equipment to the ambulance service, fire brigade and local health clinics.
This is an ongoing task and because of the poor exchange rates we are getting equipment made in the TRNC by local businesses to reduce costs.
