Girne Municipality has added a new activity for all living things in the city. 3 Bird feeding stations have been installed in Girne Baldöken Ottoman Cemetery equipped with water and feed to prevent birds from feeding on the ground.
Nesting stations for birds were set up after the placement of water and feeding facilities.
Girne Mayor Nidai Güngördü stated that all living things should be considered for the benefit of nature and environment consciousness. Nidai Güngördü wants the units to be used by those who want to feed the birds, drawing attention to the fact that feed and water spills are polluting the environment and are also harmful to animal health.
Pointing out that a new animal-friendly operation has been added by placing units for birds, Güngördü noted that they would like to place cat shelters in different points of the city in the near future.
