President Mustafa Akıncı is travelling to Ankara today (9th July) in order to attend the oath-taking ceremony of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
President Erdogan, who won the presidential elections on 24 June, will take an oath at the Turkish Grand National Assembly today (9th July). After the oath-taking, the ceremony of transition to an Executive Presidential System of Government will also take place.
Twenty-two Presidents, seventeen Prime Ministers, many Vice Presidents and Speakers of Parliament are expected to attend the ceremony.
President Akıncı will return to the TRNC after the ceremonies tonight (9th July).
