North Cyprus Events Calendar from 25th May 2018

A list of events you can look forward to in North Cyprus. For those charity fund-raisers, venues etc. who would like to include an event in the Weekly Events Calendar, contact Chris or Margaret at cyprusscene.com.

The Events Calendar is published every week on Thursday so please try to submit information you would like to be included by Tuesday evening each week.

The North Cyprus Forum events calendar is now incorporated on the cyprusscene website where you can register as a member and post your own events.

Omid Kalantar Motamedi solo exhibition “TALISMAN” at SOL Atelier, Nicosia. Opening at 7pm on 25^th May and viewing daily from 2pm to 7pm until the 9^th June.

28^th May – Monday

The Venue, Turtle Bay, Esentepe. The Abnormals 50’s Night. Menu available 7pm to eat and the show which is 10TL starts at 8.30pm. Proceeds from this and the raffle will go to Tulips. To book call 0533 884 9816.

Classic film event at The Food Lodge in Catalkoy in association with the DVD Shop, Catalkoy. Starting at 7pm you can enjoy Star Wars – The Empire Strikes Back (1980). 12TL for the film, a soft drink and popcorn. There are also hot dogs and nachos available. The Olive Press Bowls Club, Lapta will be holding a quiz night in aid of KTW (Karsiyaka Turtle Watch) starting at 7.30pm. 5tl per person for the quiz and also there is a Brainbuster Question that rolls over each month until someone gets the correct answer, that is an optional buy at 5tl as well. 1^st June – Friday

RBL Poppy Gala at the Savoy Ottoman Palace Hotel, Girne. Entertainment will be by Sarah Jayne and Andy Crust. Ticket price is £45 per person for 4-course dinner and unlimited drinks. Doors open 7pm and the show starts at 9pm.

5^th to 8^th June – Tuesday – Friday

Photographic exhibition with the theme “ENVIRONMENT” displaying the winners and other selected photos from the Ministry of Tourism and Environment and Environmenal Protection Agency photography competition. The exhibition is at the Ataturk Cultural Centre in Lefkosa and the opening ceremony and awards will be at 7.30pm on the 5^th June and then the exhibition will continue until the 8^th June.

There will be an auction organised by Kyrenia Animal Rescue (KAR) at The Courtyard Inn, Karakum. 4pm to 6pm for viewing and bidding will then start at 6pm. Some lovely items up for bids, so please try to come along and support the animals of the TRNC. Food and drink will be available before, during and after the event.
