Kyrenia Animal Rescue are still battling on despite the trauma of the last few weeks but they will always need the help of the public to continue looking after the many stray and abandoned animals in North Cyprus.
Here is their news this week :
The CTP Youth Organisation (CTP Gençlik Örgütü Girne İlçesi), got in contact with us and asked if they could help raise awareness and funds for the Distemper Outbreak. Of course…. we said, how lovely…. They borrowed a collection box, baked a load of fresh produce, got themselves a stall at the Wednesday market, and quite frankly, worked miracles…..
The following week, they delivered to us… 20 x 3kg bleach, 26 boxes of vitamins, latex 
gloves, black bags, 24 large tins of dog food and still it keeps coming.
Thank you to this brilliant young organisation, working to help the struggling animal community.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
We are in need of your help. A couple of hours a week would help us greatly.
To work in one of our 3 outlets – 2 in Girne (behind the Fire Station) and 1 in Karakum. Also To work at our Centre in Arapkoy – Hands on working with the dogs and cats – Or – Meeters and Greeters for the visitors arriving at the Centre.

The Pledge for KAR
We are about to launch the details of the 2018 Auction in aid of KAR. We have some fabulous items, which we started to publicise last week. But we need more. 
Items that maybe you can’t bear to throw away, but knowing they will be for the benefit of our animals, may make you part with them!
We are also looking for pledges, maybe a meal at a restaurant, a DIY job, a spa day… If you have any items, please bring them to the Karakum Office, stating that it is for the Auction. If you can pledge anything, please email the office at kar@kyreniaanimalrescue.org.
