Girne Mayor Nidai Güngördü posted a message for ‘Anneler Günü’ (Mothers’ Day).
In his message, Mayor Güngördü stated that the labour and great sacrifice of mothers who enrich their children can never be repaid.
He continued saying: “Mothers are always our head, not just on the anniversary day, but with love and patience that does not know any boundaries of her heart. Tolerance and love are the foundations of healthy and developed societies, with the discreet, principled and self-reliant individuals, that they help to develop.
The foundations of a peaceful world are possible with the honest, healthy individuals our mothers will raise. The most important asset to cultivate the seeds of peace, love and beauty in the world is to celebrate this meaningful day in honour of the mothers”.
