A public meeting will be organized with the aim of collecting under the umbrella of those who are dealing with silk cocoon handicrafts, breeding and producers in cooperation with Girne Municipality, Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Craftsmen and Artisans, Craftsmen and Producer Markets Cooperative and Green Peace Movement.
The meeting is to be held in Girne Municipality Leymosun Cultural Centre on Saturday, April 28th at 10:00am.
In the meeting, the problems of silk cocoon business, cultivation and producers’ problems and increasing standards will be discussed, and a solution proposal will be discussed and the mapping will be done according to the regions. It is intended that during the meeting arrangements will be made to prepare a strategic plan, and to form a working group to initiate the first steps of the project.
