RBL Kyrenia Branch band concert – Monday 14th May 2018

The Royal British Legion, Kyrenia Branch, is delighted to announce that the Band of The Security Forces Command (Güvenlik Kuvvetleri Komutanlığı Bandosu) will perform a one off concert on Monday 14th May at Bellapais Abbey in support of the 2018 Poppy Appeal.

Featuring Conductors Fatih Erdoğdu and Murat Menket, the band will offer a varied programme including popular ‘Musical’ melodies and well known favourites from the past. Doors will open at 8pm for an 8.30pm start and drinks will be available on arrival and at the interval. Programmes are 40TL payable on the door and the event is kindly sponsored by Azant Real Estates in Alsancak.

Branch Chairman Brian Thomas said: “This is a fantastic boost for the Branch that we have been working on since the new year. Our thanks go to the General of the Security Forces Command for his support and to Murat Menket for assisting in the organisation of this event. We have been trying for 7 years to organize a band concert, including inviting the RBL band across from the UK, so this is a special occasion for us. We hope that the public also support us and the 300 seats at the abbey are full on the night. There will also be an outside bar available.”
