President Mustafa Akıncı yesterday (10th April) received the United Nations Secretary General’s Special Representative to Cyprus and Chief of Mission Elizabeth Spehar.
Their discussion focused on Akıncı’s upcoming informal meeting with the Greek Cypriot leader Anastasiades which is planned for the 16th April.
Akıncı and Anastasiades will meet for the first time since the collapse of the most recent Cyprus negotiations, which aimed to find a solution based on the equality of two constituent states, but ended in failure in Crans-Montana in June.
Akıncı additionally met with US Ambassador to South Cyprus Kathleen Doherty yesterday (10th April).
