Dr. Fazıl Küçük Monument has been inaugurated in Girne.
President Mustafa Akıncı, the Mayor of Girne, Nidai Güngördü and Dr. Fazıl Küçük’s son, Mehmet Küçük, each delivered a speech at the ceremony.
During his speech at the event, President Mustafa Akıncı highlighted the importance of the date as Medicine Day, the birthday of Dr. Fazıl Küçük and also the 76th anniversary of the Halkın Sesi newspaper. President Akıncı honoured the late Turkish Cypriot leader with kind words and thanked those who contributed to the efforts towards the monument.
