Gülcem Gündağ, a student of Faculty of Communication Department of Photography and Cameraship, recently held a campaign to help the Çağlayan Children’s Home.
This campaign in fact was her graduation project at Near East University.
In cooperation with the Near East Primary school, she managed to hold a workshop for the children, where they created interesting paintings. These paintings were ultimately printed on T-shirts and page markers for books. These T-shirts and page markers were put up for sale and the sale proceeds were then donated to the Children’s Home.
It was a unique project which not only raised funds for the Children’s Home, but also brought to light the factor of social responsibility. The children who participated in this project not only got a chance to learn to express their talent, but also came to realise their social responsibility for the betterment of society.
