First stage of Paragliding World Cup to be held in Cyprus

The TRNC Air Sports Federation has stated that the first stage of the Paragliding World Cup will be held in Tatlısu from the 15th to the 18th February.

The opening procession of the international organization will be held in Girne tomorrow (15th February).

The competition was announced by the World Air Sports Federation’s calendar, and all participating athletes will be scored on their performance.

A total of 114 athletes from 20 countries including Albania, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, South Korea, Kosovo, Malaysia, the Netherlands, the TRNC, Romania, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Slovenia, Turkey and the United Kingdom (England), will participate in the competition.

The competition will involve international referees, while THK observers will also take part.

TRNC Air Sports Federation President Zeki Ziya said that the Paragliding World Cup will have six legs, the first of which will be held in the TRNC.
