Tatlısu Seracılar remain firmly anchored to the bottom of BTM Red Group League when they went down 1-0 to Kumyalı. After 2 matches with 2 defeats Tatlısu also have failed to find the target in either of those games.

KUMYALI SK v TATLISU SERACILAR SK

On a cold winters afternoon with a watery pale sunlight a boisterous and noisy band of Kumyalı supporters  packed themselves into this compact Stadium and quickly  made their presence felt.

The opening exchanges were littered with fouls, Kumyalı won a number of free kicks in dangerous positions, but either the kicks were wide or Kurşat in the Tatlısu goal dealt effectively with them, one in particular pushing a Soner effort away for a corner.

He made an even better save in the 34th minute from a Soner corner flinging himself to his right to push away a close range header from Umit.

Tatlısu’s only chance of the half came in their best spell of the match in the 36th minute when Reşat chasing a bouncing ball into the area, did well despite a heavy challenge to hook the ball past Kumyalı keeper Mehmet Ali only to see his effort hacked off the line by Mehmet. Reşat was clearly hurt from the challenge and needed lengthy treatment off the field before eventually being replaced by Soner Soytürk. HALF TIME SCORE : 0-0.

Tatlısu came close again in the 54th minute when the towering Barış up for a corner headed narrowly wide.

Kumyalı took the lead in the 69th minute following a soft goal from Tatlısu point of view. A free kick taken by Talut should have been dealt with either by Kurşat in goal or his fellow defenders, instead substitute EREN KARA nipped in to flick the kick into the net. 1-0

After that there were little goalmouth thrills, but both teams continued to give their all, but the game became very basic, at times agriculture with lots of aimless clearances.

FULL TIME SCORE : 1-0

A definite improvement this week by Tatlısu after their thrashing by Mesarya 6-0 last week.

Can’t fault the players for their efforts but without their skilful and talented players from last season Ibrahim Çelik and Serkan Kaygas there seems to be a lack of flair in the side.

Kurşat in goal had another fine game, also full backs Emrah and Arif showed marked improvement from last week. Skipper Turgay in midfield performed well. My “Man of the Match” was burly defender ALI OKUR who gave 150%, strong in the tackle and even going forward and breaking up Kumyalı attacks in midfield.

With the effort shown by the players a first win will surely come soon.
