ISO 9001-2008 – ISO 10002: 2014 Quality Management System and Citizen Satisfaction System have been issued to the Ministry of Tourism and Environment following surveys by the Turkish Standards Institute (TSE) in respect of Quality Management System and Citizen Satisfaction System.
The Ministry successfully passed the ISO 9001-2008 – ISO 10002: 2014 Quality Management System and Citizen Satisfaction Audit, and it was decided to grant the relevant documents for another year.
Ataoğlu: “We are the first Ministry to receive both documents. Since the commencement of the mission, we have carried out all our work in accordance with the standard we received.”
ISO 9001-2008 – ISO 10002: 2014 Quality Management System and Citizen Satisfaction Surveys were conducted by Turkish Standards 
Institute (TSE), Northern Cyprus Personnel and System Certification Directorate for three days at the Ministry.
At the end of the audit, an evaluation meeting was organized by the Minister of Tourism and Environment – Fikri Ataoglu, Ministry Manager – Öztürk Keskinel, Tourism Promotion and Marketing Manager – İpek Tüccaroğlu, TSE Cyprus Representative – Ahmet Kemal Kızıltan, Ministry Quality Management Representative – Ferhan Türker, Ministry staff and Counselling company Education Officer, Latif Sakar, also participated.
Speaking at the meeting, Minister of Tourism and Environment, Fikri Ataoglu, stated that the Ministry, has implemented both ISO 9001-2008 Quality Management System and ISO 10002: 2014 Citizen Satisfaction System in the Ministry for the past 2 years, in the best manner.
Ataoglu spoke as follows:
“We were the first institution in Northern Cyprus to receive the ISO 9001-2008 Quality Management System from the TSE Institution and the ISO 10002: 2014 Citizen Satisfaction System Certificate. We have carried out all our work in accordance with the document standard we received.
Our Ministry is the first public institution in our country to have both documents at the same time.
For three days, the Turkish Cypriot Directorate of Cyprus conducted audits of our Ministry, and our operations were checked. It is a pleasure to show that our services are correct and we are proud of our documents ISO 9001-2008 and ISO 10002: 2014 which will continue for another year. I would like to thank all our ministry staff who contributed to our work in this regard.”
Ahmet Kemal Kiziltan, director of TSE Cyprus personnel and systems 
certification, stated that as a result of the inspections, the Ministry of Tourism and Environment has been operating in accordance with the required standards and the certification period has been extended for another year.
Minister Ataoglu gave a plaque of appreciation to the representatives of TSE Cyprus, Ahmet Kemal Kiziltan, Counselling Company Latif Sakar, and the Ministry personnel for their contribution in documenting the Ministry.
