Established by Gözlem Özdeğirmenci and Turgay Hilmi in 2005, the school has a global vision and aim to impart non-conventional training to the students, to help them rise to the international level.
With approximately 20 trainers and administrative staff Cyprus Art has become a centre for both local and foreign residents of the TRNC, who arrange for themselves and children to be enrolled to learn various forms of art, music and dance.
The school has mainly three departments of activities.
- Music department : Pre-school music education, Piano, Violin, Guitar, Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, French Horn, Trumpet, Tuba, Vocal training , children and youth chorus.
- Ballet and dance department: Classical Ballet, Modern dance, Jazz dance, Hip-Hop, Belly dancing and Pilates.
- Painting/Sculpture/Handicraft department: Pastel, water mark and classical drawing, plasticise, clay and composite sculpture making, 3D creative handicraft, clip art, collage and model making.
In the ballet department there is one Turkish speaking and one Russian speaking teacher. They both can speak English.
The school operates from Kyrenia and has branches in Nicosia and Lapta also.
