Angela and Mike Phillips live in Ozanköy and have already rescued 3 homeless dogs. Unfortunately one of them developed a disease caused by the sand fly. Even after spending a lot of money at the vets on drugs and drips to keep her alive, she died about 3 months ago.
Amazingly, shortly after she died, they were driving down the road in Ozanköy, when they saw a poor little waif of a dog similar to the one that died covered in mud and looking all forlorn. They picked her up and took her home and bathed and fed her. The next day they took her to the vet to have her checked over and to everyone’s surprise they found out she was pregnant with 6 puppies. Angie and Mike looked after her till she produced 6 lovely puppies.
The rescued bitch turned out to be a fantastic mother although she was only young herself. Now the puppies are 6 weeks old and have just had their first Parvo injections. If it hadn’t been for Angie and Mike seeing this lovely little dog and taking her home and looking after her, who knows what would have happened to her.
