Girne Mayor Nidai Güngördü met with Temel Torlak and his coach Yasin Haznedaroğlu, who will compete for the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in the middleweight division organized by the International Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation in France for the World Bodybuilding Championship.
Nidai Güngördü said in his speech that sport is a way to give meaningful recreation for young people and to ensure that healthy individuals grow up and support sport. He said, our sportsmen are promoting Girne and the TRNC
The Mayor stated that individual sports are not fully implemented in our country and emphasized that Cevat Yildiz and Emre Özkaram, who achieved success overseas in body development, are a good example for young people. Güngördü emphasized that both athletes were Girne citizens and that they made a great contribution to the international promotion of the city and it is felt that Temel Torlak will also achieve the same success.
Güngördü also emphasized that the Federation will participate in the World Bodybuilding Championship which will be organized in France in the coming days and he wished Torlak every success.
