Rifat Salih, who went missing in Lefke in 1964, and whose remains were found during excavations to find missing people, has been buried in Lefke in a military ceremony.
Rifat Salih was kidnapped by EOKA members on 6 February 1964 while travelling to Famagusta with Hüseyin Ertan Ali.
In a speech during the military ceremony, Rifat Salih’s son Salih Hacısalih said that his father was brutally killed by the Greek Cypriot terrorist organization EOKA just for being a Turk.
