Uncle Omer and Bareyası meet with lovers of cartoons.
The introduction and signing ceremony of the cartoon book “Uncle Ömer and Bareyası” published by Architect and Cartoonist Serhan Gazioğlu took place at the Girne Municipality Art Gallery. Girne Mayor, Nidai Güngördü, Musa Kayra, President of the Turkish Cypriot Cartoonist Association, cartoonists, municipality employees and book lovers participated. Serhan Gazioğlu and the editor of the book, Ömer Tatlısu, signed the book for the participants at the event.

Speaking at the introduction of the book, Girne Mayor, Nidai Güngördü, said that he was very happy to be at the presentation and signing ceremony of Serhan Gazioğlu’s book, who participates in the selection committee at the International Olive Cartoon Contest organized by Girne Municipality. Nidai Güngördü stated that the artist is a patriotic person and expresses this with his drawings. The Mayor said he hopes the new book will be successful.

Serhan Gazioğlu said that he expressed himself in the best way by drawing a cartoon and said he was proud of bringing a new book to the world of humour.
Serhan Gazioğlu stated that the work compiled from cartoons published in the daily newspaper are included in the book and noted that he wanted to publish a book with the cartoons he had drawn up to now and that he will continue to draw in the future.
