Working as a producer and presenter for Bayrak Radio and Television and then having the opportunity of writing about my forthcoming shows on cyprusscene.com is a great joy and my latest project was no exception.

On Saturday 2nd December I went along with my cameraman Rafet Celik  to the Pia Bell Hotel to record interviews and witness the fun that children and their parents were having at the Kyrenia Animal Rescue Christmas Bazaar for my Vox Pop programme which will be shown on BRT 2 TV very soon.

There were many people to talk to including KAR Chairperson Margaret Ray, and then I had time to talk to Kim Avdiji and Lisa Perry and also found an old friend, Richard Chamberlain a well known photographer of Cyprus during the 1950s who was there with his books of photographs old and new plus his calendar.

As we walked around the stalls full of Christmas items and other nice goodies for shoppers to take home, we met a group of very friendly KAR dogs proudly wearing their  KAR waistcoats and wagging their tails and saying hello to visitors in the way that dogs do.

Now you cannot have a Christmas without a Father Christmas and we were not disappointed as he was there in his grotto with lots of excited children, and me, but sadly I was too big to sit on his knee.

For a Fun packed Vox Pop programme do watch this space for the BRT2 transmission dates of my show which will be published very soon on cyprusscene.com.
