On 15th November 2017, the 34th National Day of TRNC was celebrated with great vigor and commitment. The main event was organised at the Fazil Küçük Boulvard in Lefkoşa, where a large number of people, came up to be a part of the official celebrations and to watch the march past.
The Turkish Minister for TRNC Mr. Recep Akdağ and the President of TRNC Mr. Mustafa Akıncı delivered their speeches.
Subsequent to the speeches, the local folklore dancers presented their beautiful dances. Various local schools and some of the universities in TRNC participated in the march, with banners of their respective schools. The local police, and other civil bodies also participated in the march past.
The highlight of the event was a very impressive procession by the tanks and other combat vehicles by the Turkish Army units. The event was closed with wonderful low flights by a Turkish Airforce jet.
The stadiums were filled with men and women of all ages, and children with Turkish and TRNC flags in their hands waving them with great joy on this wonderful occasion.
