Brilliant news received. The RBL Theatre Players are finally able to perform their long awaited pantomime – Robin Hood.
Will the Sherriff of Snottingham get his dastardly way or his comeuppance? Will his manservant Doom get to lead a normal life? Will Motherhood ever get her problem downstairs sorted out? Will Robin Hood ever find true love? And what about Lady Marion Fitzbadly, will she find the same? Should Will Scarlet get a role in the pantomime? Will Little John find his arrows all a quiver? Will Friar Tuck and the nuns make a habit of it? Should Morgana be accepted and loved by everyone or should the soldiers take her away?
All these questions and more will be answered at the end of the month when the RBL Theatre Players finally put on the long awaited pantomime ‘Robin Hood’ which has been 2 years in the waiting.
Director Ian Chennell explained: “After all our well documented problems with finding a suitable venue we are delighted and indebted to the Mayor of Alsancak, Firat Ataser, for allowing us the use of the Belediyesi theatre the ‘Gökay Boğaçhan Kültür Merkezi’. It is a brand spanking new building built to an impressive standard and the cast and crew cannot wait to get inside and tread the boards as we will be the first theatre group to use it.
As the photo shows the view from the dress circle is very impressive. Once again Sue Birchall has done an amazing job over the summer sewing the costumes.”
The event will be performed over 3 nights; Wednesday 29 and Thursday 30 November plus Friday 1 December
There are the usual culprits in the cast with seasoned actors Paul Jones, Jan Marsh, Adele & Brian Thomas,
