20th October is going to be Pink Day throughout the TRNC and as such we are asking everyone to wear Pink for the day and make a donation to Tulips/Help Those With Cancer Association.
We are selling Pink T-shirts to aid this event at 17TL each (sales outlets to be confirmed). We are very grateful to Near East Hospital who have very kindly donated 20,000TL towards the cost of these T-shirts.
We would like to encourage individuals, businesses, schools and other organisations to get involved with Pink month by organising an event to raise money for Tulips anytime throughout the month of October.
One example of this comes from Natasha Atik of Amore Beauty and Tanning Salon (Lapta), this what she has posted on Facebook:
“We have decided to participate in this year’s Pink October and try and raise funds for a well deserved charity Tulips.
We are forgoing our usual uniforms at the salon and all the girls will be wearing Pink October T-shirts for the month of October and to help raise funds we will be selling raffle tickets to win a £100 gift voucher to use at the salon. All funds received from raffle tickets will go to Tulips. Our aim is to raise as much as possible both awareness and funds.
So we will keep you posted ladies and tickets will be ready as of 1st October for your chance to win a £100 voucher to pamper yourselves at our salon.
