Turkish Cypriot handicrafts exhibition entitled “Miracle of Silk Cocoon” was organized within the framework of the “II. Turkish Cypriot Cultural Day” event in Budapest, the capital city Hungary.

The exhibition, which was organized by the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Budapest Representative Office, was opened by Oya Ertuğruloğlu, the wife of Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu (Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus).  Ambassador of Turkey to Budapest Şakir Fakılı and many foreign mission chiefs participated in the exhibition.

In her speech at the opening ceremony, TRNC Budapest Representative Selda Çimen stated that the TRNC Budapest Representative Office has a 3-year-old past and during this time they have been working for the development of commercial, cultural, sports and educational relations between TRNC and Hungary as well as representation duties.

Stating that they have also carried out activities to contribute to the promotion of the TRNC, Çimen said that they opened the Turkish Cypriot handicrafts exhibition entitled “Miracle of Silk Cocoon” in this frame.

Turkish cuisine is offered to the guests in order to promote the TRNC culture.

The exhibition will be opened until 15 September 2017.
