The 11th International Lefkoşa Folk Dance Festival, hosted by the Lefkoşa Turkish Municipality with the contribution of the Youth Office and 7 cultural and art associations in Lefkoşa, began yesterday (22nd August).
Folk dance teams and modern dance groups from Spain, South Korea, Mexico, Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus are participating in the festival that will continue until 27 August.
Infantry soldier Allahverdi Kılıç will be commemorated
The 21st anniversary of the death of infantry soldier Allahverdi Kılıç, who was killed by Greek Cypriot soldiers while performing military service in the Security Forces Command, will be commemorated with a ceremony on 8 September.
