The 7th Girne Culture and Art Days has been organized by Girne Municipality, with the slogan this year of ‘Art for a Bright Future’ and continued with a concert featuring İrem Derici from Turkey.
Irem Derici is one of Turkey’s most popular musical artists, and she performed at the Girne Amphitheatre on Tuesday 8th August to a huge audience of some 2,500 people. It was a spectacular performance with an unforgettable music feast and the audience joined in with the singing.
Irem sang some of her much loved songs such as “My heart’s only owner”, “I will not cry” and “I have no darling”. İrem Derici also sang a duets with Mustafa Ceceli and Harun Kolçak.
Girne Mayor Nidai Güngördü gave a speech at the concert, thanking İrem Derici for her performance and to her team. He presented a plaque and flowers to Irem on behalf of the Municipality of Girne.
