It is not unusual for the Office Angels (and Centre staff) to arrive at work in the morning to be greeted by dumped/abandoned cats/kittens/dogs and puppies waiting for them.

It is not unusual for them to be in boxes, tied to the outside table, tied to the fence or for them to be just sitting waiting after being put out of their car!

It is not unusual for people to arrive, at the office, shop or centre, during the day with boxes of animals wanting help.

It is not unusual to hear a car drive off and then see the cat/dog left behind desperately trying to chase the car to catch its owner.

It is not unusual for a box left outside the shop during opening times to suddenly begin to move and for it to be full of kittens or puppies.

Kermit and his lady friend

What is unusual is for the animals to arrive in a bin bag!

Kermit and his Lady friend were brought into the KAR office, in a bin bag, by their owners who no longer wanted them. The office angels quickly established that they had  little chance of them reproducing, would take up a bit of room, but they were likely to be quiet, would not be needing much in the way of food or medical treatment – just probably a bit of grooming.

All they wanted was, like all of KAR’s animals, a new and loving home of their own. Luckily for Kermit and his Lady Friend it will not be long before they are re homed.

How we all wish that the same could be said for all of the cats, kittens, dogs and puppies at KAR.
