For this week’s Vox Pop show, I went with my camera team to meet the Cyprus Turkish French Cultural Association in Lefkosa who were holding their 2017 music festival to co-ordinate with the Fête De La Musique Festival which is held every year.
The “Fête de la Musique” [“International Music Day”] is an annual music festival taking place on June 21 around the world. It was created by ex-French Minister of Culture, Jack Lang and first took place in 1982 in Paris.
Ever since, the Festival has been celebrated in more than 460 cities in 110 countries, including Germany, Italy, Egypt, Morocco, South Africa, Australia, Vietnam, Congo, Cameroon, Fiji, Colombia, Chile, Nepal and Japan.
