The Kervansaray Public Beach which belongs to the Municipality of Girne is a popular leisure area to be enjoyed by the public.
Kervansaray Public Beach activity has been started by the Girne Municipality. Food and beverages are sold on the beach where disabled citizens are also considered and catered for.
Kervansaray Public Beach, has private beach standards, pets are welcome provided the owners observe cleanliness and order. The beach has conservation control measures, with lifeguard and rescue equipment and a lifeguard tower. It has a private swimming area separated by buoys for the safety of citizens using the swimming area.
Disabled individuals are not forgotten.
The beach has parking for the handicapped, a path to the sea and a private area on the beach. In addition to showers for disabled people, there is also access to restaurants, toilets and showers. Disabled people are not charged on entry.
Girne Mayor, Nidai Güngördü, said that the Kervansaray Public Beach is open for the use of people from all walks of life. He also stated consideration has been given to disabled people to be able to participate in every aspect of life and stated that arrangements had been made at Kervansaray Public Beach for disabled people to be able to get to the sea.
Nidai Güngördü noted that other projects to be carried out would also receive thought and consideration in respect of disabled people.
I wanted to visit the beach today but could not find an entry road. How do you get to the beach please. There are no road signs.
The ramp down to the beach is next to Kervansary Restaurant parking places.
