The Minister  of Tourism and Environment, Fikri Ataoglu, has welcomed Adül Çumen, the Chairman of the Turkish Cypriot Peace Force Veteran (GAZİ) Association and the members of the Board of Directors.

The President of the Veteran Association Adiler Kümen gave information about the activities of the Association at the meeting, indicating that the Cyprus issue is on the agenda, and they have full faith and support for the government on this issue.

Describing how they came to the island in the Peace Operation and they feel this place is like “their homeland”, Çümen stated that a democratic government is in charge and knows what the Turkish Cypriot people want and in this context, they have full faith in the administrators.

Minister Ataoglu expressed his happiness at coming together with the Turkish Cypriot Peace Veteran (Gazi) Association and pointed out that they had a good dialogue with the Association.

Ataoğlu wishing success to the Management of the Association said that it is nice for people to organize and fight in associations and said, “You are doing this job well by supporting the national cause”.

Ataoglu said that they worked together with the Turkish Cypriot Peace Movement Veteran (Gazi) Association and that they were happy together and that their door was always open to them.
