North Cyprus Events Calendar from 13th April 2017

A list of events you can look forward to in North Cyprus. For those charity fund-raisers, venues etc. who would like to include an event in the Weekly Events Calendar, contact Chris or Margaret at cyprusscene.com. The Events Calendar is published every week on Thursday so please try to submit information to be included by Wednesday pm each week.

In addition, if you register as a member of northcyprusforum.net, your events can be included in the members’ calendar.

Steve Sydenham now has a new location for his books at the Deli Cafe in Alsancak. He will be there from 9am to 1.30pm on Saturdays with a large selection of second-hand books to choose from. The Deli Cafe is on the left hand side of the main road travelling from Girne, just past the Golden Lady and opposite the Capitano Restaurant. Steve looks forward to seeing his customers old and new.

Black Olive Cafe/Studio will be starting weekly yoga classes on Friday 24^th March – 9am to 10.15am. Suitable for beginners and advanced levels. 20TL

Classical Music Concert ‘Duygudaki 3 Renk’ at Bellapais Abbey … Ticket price is 20TL and total income will be contributed to the SOS Children’s Village ….

The Black Olive Cafe will be having an Easter Market in aid of NCCCT starting at 11am .. The bar will be open and food will be available from which Vicki will be donating a percentage to NCCCT … If you would like to have a stall (20TL which will go to the charity) contact Vicki on 0533 835 5133

Heidi Trautmann will be having an exhibition of her work at the Rauf Raif Denktas Culture and Congress Centre in Famagusta … The opening is at 6pm on Saturday 15^th April and the exhibition will continue during normal working hours until 15^th May …. A wonderful chance for lovers of art to see Heidi’s work which may well be her last big exhibition.

Fund raising for NCCCT at The Wild Duck, Lapta … From 12 noon to 6pm … Easter Egg hunt at 1pm, stalls and game stalls.

18^th – 21^st April

Photo exhibition “Journey to the Heart of Nature” at Ataturk Culture Centre, Lefkosa … The exhibition will be opened at 6pm on the 18^th and will continue during working hours on the 19^th/20^th/21^st April .. Hosted on Facebook by Hasan Baglar.

The Soulist Coffee and Music House in Alsancak will be having a Blues Night with Alper Cengiz and Friends from 9.30pm Live music.

Richard Chamberlain will be having an exhibition of his 1954/55 photographs which were taken in Cyprus and also his 2 reprinted and updated books will be available … The exhibition will be held at I Belli Restaurant in Girne … 22^nd – 11am till late, closed on 23^rd, 24^th to 29^th – 3pm till late … Well worth a visit.
