By Steven Roberts…….

Sunday March 26th saw the second annual cross-cultural festival in Iskele.  A large crowd turned up to see singers and dancers from Cyprus and further afield, and there were many stalls representing the number of different nationalities that now live in this area.

Amongst those featured were Palestine, Nigeria, Turkmenistan, Kosovo, Albania, Philippines and Scotland. Many of the stalls offered samples of their national dishes for sale, and there were also a large range of craft stalls offering stone carved products, items made from olive wood, clothing etc.

Judging by the numbers who turned up it looks like this event will get even bigger and better in future years.
