NORTHERN CYPRUS IS READY FOR THE WORLD HEALTH SPORTS TOURISM CONGRESS AND EXHIBITION
The Ministry of Tourism and Environment is participating in the HESTOUREX – World Health Sports Tourism Congress and Fair, which will bring 2000 tourism professionals operating in health and sports fields from 150 countries to Antalya Expo Center on 06-09 April 2017.
OUR AIM IS TO GET A LARGER SHARE FROM HEALTH TOURISM.
Minister Ataoğlu stated that they have given importance to the investments in Health Tourism and said that their goals are to get a larger share for North Cyprus from World Health Tourism.
SUPPORTING ADVANCED LIFE VILLAGES
Ataoğlu pointed out that many types of Health Tourism, especially medical, elderly and wellness are suitable for Northern Cyprus and stated that they want to encourage an increase in the number of institutions that will provide services in the field of Health Tourism for increasing tourism revenues. He stated that his aim is to bring more tourists to the TRNC from many other countries and this is an ongoing issue both in the short and medium term, which supports and encourages advanced life villagers to bring their country to the TRNC.
WE ARE SUPPORTING INVESTMENT AND PLANNING
Ataoğlu stated that internationally accredited health institutions and the number of hospitals should be increased in parallel with the development of the health sector, and on this point, he said they will work in cooperation with the relevant public institutions and sectors as well.
Ataoğlu stated that they are giving priority to improving the physical and technical infrastructure in the field of health tourism and providing support for investment and planning within the scope of health tourism.
NORTHERN CYPRUS – 4 SEASONS – A SPORTING COUNTRY
Tourism and Environment Minister Ataoglu said that the potential of North Cyprus’s sports tourism has not been evaluated up to today as much as is necessary and referred to events such as the European Rally Championship and the International Bicycle Tour in which 18 teams from 16 different countries have recently participated successfully in our country.
DIVING, GOLF, FOOTBALL, BASKETBALL, BEACH VOLLEYBALL
Underlining their goals to increase international sports organizations, Ataoğlu said that many places for diving, golf, football, basketball, beach volleyball are suitable for sports tourism in the TRNC.
WE HAVE MADE GREAT PREPARATION FOR THE EXHIBITION
Ataoglu stated that the Ministry of Tourism and Environment is very well prepared for the World Health and Sports Tourism Congress and Fair, with the coordination of the Tourism Promotion and Marketing Department. We also had our final meeting and preparation with the participation of Federations, Unions, Health Tourism Council and Universities.
