8th March 2017 saw 102 Ladies celebrate International Women’s Day at the Mountain View Hotel with all monies raised being donated to Tulips/Help Those With Cancer Association. Amazingly two of our ladies came all the way from Turkey to help celebrate the day.
This was the 3rd International Women’s Day event organised by Barbara Willbye and it was by far the most successful, as it was totally sold out. We already have some ladies who have put their names down for next year’s event, as they were unable to get into this year’s event!
A huge 5,700TL was raised via a raffle, donations and from the meals provided.
Our sincere thanks go to Barbara Willbye for organising this event and to the Mountain View Hotel, who not only provided one of their infamous hot and cold buffets, but managed to keep the price down to match last years event and donated 10TL from every ticket sold to Tulips. A huge thank you also to all the ladies who attended, without you there would not be an event and your generosity in supporting this event and the raffle was heartwarming.
We would also like to say a special thank you to Akpinar Patisserie who once again provided the individual cakes for each lady, to Sue and all the staff at the Mountain View Hotel who worked tirelessly throughout the evening, to DJ Pete Murray who once again proved he was up to being in a room full of women and enjoyed himself and to our very own Katie B who, as always, got up and sang a few numbers for us, both DJ Pete Murray and Katie B provided their services free of charge, wonderful.
