A list of events you can look forward to in North Cyprus. Dogankoy Community Association will be holding fortnightly Ladies Craft Mornings starting on Tuesday 31^st January from 11am until about 1pm. These will be held in the Doğanköy Coffee Shop. Go along either to share your knowledge or gain from sharing patterns and information with others. This will be a good way to meet like-minded people and learn crafts like Knitting, Sewing, Card-making, Colouring or Painting and much more. RBL Kyrenia Branch – Are you a keen cyclist or have not cycled for a while but have been meaning to get back on your bike? No matter what your standard or experience of riding you may be interested in joining the ‘Poppy Riders’ who meet every Sunday morning for an hour or two’s social cycling? 24^th February – Friday	Turkish Cypriot Presidential Symphony Orchestra will be performing at Near East University, Ataturk Culture and Congress Centre, Nicosia … The concert starts at 8pm and admission is free … A lovely concert for lovers of classical music.

26^th February – Sunday	Lefke Orchid/Nature Walk – meeting at 09.30 at European University of Lefke – walk starts at 10am … Sandwiches and fresh orange juice and a certificate for all participants
28^th February – Tuesday	Dogankoy Coffee Shop will be the venue for craft mornings when people can get together and share their skills in knitting, sewing, painting, card making and many other hobbies … The event is fortnightly and is from 11am to about 1pm.
28^th February – Tuesday	St Andrew’s Church will be having a Shrove Tuesday event from 7pm … Find out why it is called “Fat Tuesday” … There will be a bar, a quiz and of course pancakes.
28^th February – Tuesday	The Food Lodge in Catalkoy will be having Pancake Day from 10am to 5pm .. A selection of pancakes with a choice of topping .. Take-away available as well.

4^th and 5^th March – Saturday and Sunday	Hisarkoy Orchid Festival … The festival will start at 10am on the 4th and close at 11pm on the 5th. During this event there will be walks to see the wild orchids and the flora and fauna of the area … After the opening ceremony, visitors will be able to browse around the many stalls which will be selling organic produce and many other items … In addition there will be folk dancing displays and other shows … A festival fire will be lit which will add a lovely atmosphere to the occasion.
