On Monday morning, 20 February, at Lapta Cemetery on a brilliantly sunny morning over 150 people gathered to say a sad farewell to Cathy Jackson.
What a sight to see, with her friends and family wearing bright colours and Tartan to celebrate the vibrant personality that was Cathy.
The Ceremony was performed by Keith Lloyd who also read out tributes to Cathy from her husband Ged and her daughter Elaine and her brother Tommy. Lovely words paying tribute to a lovely lady who is going to be very much missed by so many friends she has on this island.
Ged had asked for no flowers but donations to Tulips and a mark of how much she was loved, a totally amazing amount of 3,500TL was donated at the service.
Our sympathy and heartfelt condolences go to Ged and the families on the loss of such a lovely “Scottish flower”.
RIP Cathy you will be very much missed.
