We have visited the Karpaz Gate Marina, Yeni Erenkoy, on many occasions when travelling east and it is a really 
impressive place with the many yachts and cruisers berthed there and so relaxing and peaceful to sit in the large terrace area overlooking the marina and enjoy a refreshing drink or coffee and a snack at Hemingway’s Resto-Bar Restaurant..
We were so pleased to see on North Cyprus Tourism Centre Facebook posting that Karpaz Gate Marina had been named International Marina of the Year 2017 at this year’s London Boat Show and Harbour Master Deniz Akaltan received the accolade which is awarded annually by The Yacht Harbour Association (TYHA).

The Marina was opened in June 2011 and received Gold Anchor status by TYHA in 2013.

“Karpaz Gate Marina’s inner basin contains six floating pontoons, and is designed for yachts ranging from five meters to mega-yachts of 55 meters in length.
The marina and marina buildings encompass the marina village, Hemingway’s Resto-Bar restaurant, chandlery, gym, laundry, brokerage and boat sales office, and The Market has all the necessities you may require, as well as some luxuries and new branded items.
Karpaz Gate Marina also offers the largest and best possible maintenance facilities in the eastern Mediterranean – larger than most on the Turkish coast – including an expansive 18,000sqm dry dock and 300 tonne travel lift.
With views of the bay, the beach club is a short walk along the Promenade at Karpaz Gate Marina and offers guests access to the private beach and waterfloat, as well as the 33m infinity pool. There is also a Water Sports Centre and the renowned local dive school Mephisto Diving.”
North Cyprus has so much to offer, as well as the stunning scenery and historical sites, there is a wealth of Cypriot culture to experience and we are proud to live in this beautiful part of the Mediterranean where we can see the progress which is developing day by day.
